If an external open-call platform, event platform, social media platform, embedded service, or other third-party tool sets its own cookies, that third party may be independently responsible for its own cookie processing. 

2. What are cookies?

If ARXIVE open calls or Financial Support to Third Parties applications are hosted on a dedicated platform, that platform may use cookies to:

  • maintain an applicant session;  
  • save application progress;  
  • enable document uploads;  
  • secure submissions;  
  • prevent fraud or misuse;  
  • support evaluation and review workflows;  
  • manage notifications or user preferences.  

Strictly necessary cookies for open-call submission and account functionality may be used without consent. Optional analytics, tracking, or third-party cookies on open-call platforms will only be used where legally permitted and, where required, after consent. 
If the open-call platform is operated by a third-party provider, that provider’s own Cookie Policy may also apply.

Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required to provide the website or online service requested by the user. 
Where personal data is processed through strictly necessary cookies, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating, securing, and maintaining the website, or another applicable legal basis described in the ARXIVE Privacy Policy.
